Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra Event Materials, Identity & Branding
In 2008, we redeveloped the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO)'s brand to create a visual identity that would appeal to a younger and more diverse audience, and in 2015, we refreshed the identity again. The WCO is a smaller, more intimate music experience making the brand message inviting people to "get close to the music" still ring true today even as it reaches out to communities across the state. Every year since 2008, we have developed annual campaigns for their Masterworks series and the Concerts on the Square.
The 2016-17 Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra season brochure was inspired by the way unexpected combinations of musical pieces play off of each other, creating new experiences.
2016's Concerts on the Square played off of the unique experience of blankets covering the Capitol Square lawn. The blanket's detail also pays homage to the little things that make the Concerts so special.
The Masterworks Subscriber brochure introduced the 2015-16 concert season with textural, surreal landscapes, transporting your mind's eye to faraway places inspired by the music.
2014's Concerts on the Square artwork was reminiscent of a Swedish midsummer festival, based on the first performance of the kickoff concert.
The 2014 Masterworks Subscriber Brochure introduced the season with layered imagery and rich color, music in the mind's eye.
The 2013 Masterworks Subscriber Brochure was a multifaceted brochure. It introduced the 2013 Masterworks concert season while maintaining visual harmony with the summer 2013 Concerts on the Square materials.
We created these materials for the 2012 season of Concerts on the Square, a free concert series that draws 20,000 Madisonians looking for a dreamy, mid-week escape to the Capitol lawn.
A blend of textures and patterns both classical and new, this brochure highlights the young guest artists of the 2012 Masterworks concert season.
2011 Concerts on the Square's poster illustrated the experience of laying outside during sunset and being taken away by the music.
The 2010 materials were a fresh take on the traditional watercolor poster for Concerts on the Square.
