Center on Wisconsin Strategy (COWS) Identity and Publication Design
COWS (Center on Wisconsin Strategy) is a nonprofit think-and-do tank, based at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, that promotes “high road” solutions to social problems. These treat shared growth and opportunity, environmental sustainability and resilient democratic institutions as necessary and achievable complements in human development.
COWS has enlisted us to refresh their brand identity, develop and produce multiple reports and create sub-branded identities for many of their programs.
COWS recently teamed up with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the SEED Center to publish this report communicating the important connection between America's community college network and the economic and environmental resiliency of our communities.
In our first report with COWS, we helped lead author Sarah White convey the opportunities for job growth and career advancement in emerging green jobs. This white paper was released and discussed by both candidates during the 2008 Presidential Campaign.
The American Legislative and Issue Campaign Exchange, or ALICE, is the one-stop web-based public library of progressive state and local laws. The library includes model laws, meaning suggested general language for a law, ready to be tailored to a particular jurisdiction.
The ALICE library now houses over 1,500 exemplary laws, model laws and supporting research documents!
Greener Reality is a 112-page folllowup paper to Greener Pathways that was a state of the state of green job growth in the US, discussing career pathways and the job landscape for green-collar jobs, published in 2012.
